Frequently Asked Questions

What is the temperature range of the elastomeric rubber foam insulation?

The insulation material offers a broad long-term temperature tolerance range from -50 degrees to 110 degrees C, making it highly suitable for both chilled and hot water piping systems.

Does this insulation material meet fire safety standards?

Yes, it meets the most stringent requirements for fire retardancy. It achieves Class 0 & Class 1 fire ratings according to BS 476 Part 6 and 7, and has an Oxygen Index of ≥36%.

How does the closed-cell foam structure benefit pipe insulation?

The closed-cell structure ensures extremely low thermal conductivity and offers high resistance to water vapor permeability (μ ≥ 10000). This prevents condensation and minimizes energy loss.

Can the insulation tubing reduce noise and vibration?

Yes, the highly elastic and flexible properties of the rubber tubing effectively cushion physical impacts and reduce the vibration and resonance of both hot and chilled water piping during operation.

What product forms and options are available?

The product is supplied in tube, roll, and sheet forms. The tubes are sized to fit standard copper, steel, and PVC piping. Various surface facings such as FSK Aluminum Foil and Adhesive Kraft are also available upon request.

What is the expected lifespan of this rubber foam insulation?

Thanks to its outstanding resistance to fungi, ozone, UV rays, and harsh weather conditions, this insulation foam delivers a long service life of 10 to 30 years.
