Get Factory QuoteA technical guide on how Kingflex NBR/PVC polymer configurations isolate sound waves and block heat transfer simultaneously.
Unlike rigid insulation materials, open-cell and semi-open elastomeric foams act as viscous dampers. When acoustic waves enter the cellular network of Kingflex rubber, the air molecules oscillate within the tortuous pathways of the polymer matrix. This friction converts acoustic energy into trace thermal energy, yielding a high Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC). It prevents reverberations and standing waves in air ducts and plant rooms.
With a closed-cell ratio exceeding 98%, our premium thermal range seals dry air inside independent microscopic bubbles. Because air has a exceptionally low thermal conductivity (λ ≈ 0.026 W/m·K at room temperature), the confinement of gas within the elastomer blocks convection currents. This maintains low, stable thermal conductivity over decades, protecting pipelines from thermal gains or losses.
Condensation is the enemy of acoustic and thermal insulation. Water infiltration increases conductivity exponentially. Kingflex NBR/PVC boasts an exceptionally high Water Vapor Diffusion Resistance Factor (μ ≥ 10,000). This integrated vapor barrier eliminates the need for external cladding in standard indoor environments, ensuring zero moisture buildup and structural prevention of Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI).
| Property Parameter | NBR/PVC Elastomeric Foam Sheet | Elastomeric Insulation Tube | Test Standards Compliance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thermal Conductivity (λ) | ≤ 0.034 W/(m·k) at 0°C | ≤ 0.033 W/(m·k) at 0°C | ASTM C518 / ISO 8301 |

| Service Temperature Range | -50 °C to +105 °C (-58°F to 221°F) | -40 °C to +105 °C | ASTM C411 |
| Fire & Flammability Rating | Class 0 / Class 1 / V-0 | Class 1 / V-0 / B1 | BS 476 Part 6 & 7 / UL 94 / GB 8624 |

Direct insight into factory-standard dimensions, structural benefits, and architectural/industrial system applications.
Produced using continuous electronic extrusion and foaming processes, Kingflex sheet rolls offer high dimensional stability and uniform thickness control. They are ideal for wrapping large-diameter HVAC ducts, storage vessels, and complex industrial geometries.
Central air conditioning system ducts, structural wall acoustic partitions, roof and basement thermal barrier layers, locomotive body dampening, cold storage container walling, and large processing tanks in chemical refineries.
These hollow tubular profiles are manufactured with strict internal diameter tolerance controls to ensure a snug fit around standard copper, steel, and plastic pipes. A precision inner surface slip coat allows rapid installation during site assembly.
HVAC chilled water pipes, condensate drainage paths, hot water supply lines, refrigeration unit loops, petrochemical process pipelines, solar thermal energy collectors, and utility pipelines inside hospitals, shopping malls, and clean rooms.

How the Jinwei Group's historic background laid the foundation for modern green insulation development.
Kingflex Insulation Co., Ltd. is a professional manufacturing and trading combo for thermal and acoustic insulation products. Our research, development, and primary production plants are situated in Dacheng, China—historically recognized as the capital of green building materials. As an energy-saving, environmentally conscious enterprise, we coordinate product research, modern production, and global supply logistics under one roof.
Kingflex was established by the Jinwei Group, which has over 40 years of history. Founded in 1979, the Jinwei Group was the first manufacturer of thermal insulation materials north of the Yangtze River. Decades of compound polymer engineering knowledge allow us to maintain strict quality consistency.
We believe in collaborative support workflows. Our current team structure is built to service international projects efficiently:
Where acoustic and thermal science is heading: Kingflex's long-term material research and environmental milestones.
Our laboratory is testing the addition of carbon nanotubes and silica aerogel particles into the standard NBR/PVC compound. Early tests show a thermal conductivity reduction to 0.029 W/(m·K), while improving structural elasticity and resistance to mechanical wear.
To align with strict global green building codes, we are transitioning to next-generation water-based foaming systems. This reduces volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions during production and ensures our insulation is suitable for indoor air quality certifications like LEED and WELL.
Standard foams absorb sound wave energy, but low frequencies can still penetrate. We are developing composite materials with embedded heavy mass layers. This creates structured acoustic barriers that block target low-frequency hums from heavy-duty compressors.
Tailored elastomeric configurations that address the unique noise and thermal problems of key industrial sectors.
Chilled water supply lines in commercial skyscrapers face high risk of surface condensation and dripping. Our closed-cell rubber insulation prevents moisture buildup without requiring secondary cladding, while dampening structural vibrations from ventilation equipment.
Data centers require constant, high-volume cooling. Even small thermal energy leaks reduce overall PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness). Our custom 25mm and 50mm sheet rolls insulate large chilled water headers, maintaining precise supply temperatures to server halls.
Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) lines operate at temperatures down to -162°C. Standard insulation materials can become brittle and crack under thermal shock. Kingflex's cryogenic elastomeric formulations maintain elasticity at low temperatures, preventing pipeline cracking.
Process pipelines in chemical plants are exposed to corrosive atmospheres. The chemical composition of our NBR/PVC compound resists ozone, grease, and acidic compounds, protecting metal lines from external environmental corrosion.
Our commitment to reliable, high-performance manufacturing is backed by rigorous testing and international standard certifications.
Certified production systems and quality management assurance.
