Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are the primary benefits of rubber foam insulation tubes?
Rubber foam insulation tubes offer excellent thermal insulation with very low thermal conductivity, high moisture and fire resistance, sound absorption, and structural stability. The closed-cell structure prevents moisture ingress, guaranteeing long-lasting performance.
What certifications does this rubber foam insulation material carry?
The material complies with rigorous international standards and is BS476, UL94, DIN5510, ASTM, CE, REACH, ROHS, and GB certified, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental friendliness.
What is the working temperature range for the insulation material?
This rubber foam material works efficiently across a wide temperature range, specifically from -50°C to 110°C, making it suitable for both cold piping and hot water systems.
How does the closed-cell structure contribute to moisture resistance?
Unlike open-cell alternatives, the closed-cell structure prevents water and vapor from penetrating the insulation layer. This built-in vapor barrier reduces the risk of corrosion under insulation (CUI) and prevents mold growth.
Is this material suitable for acoustic soundproofing?
Yes, the elastomeric structure has outstanding sound-absorbing properties. It dampens structural vibrations and absorbs airborne noise, effectively reducing sound transmission along pipelines and ducts.
Can the insulation withstand outdoor weather and UV exposure?
Yes. According to standardized testing (ASTM G23 and GB/T 7762-1987), this rubber foam material exhibits good resistance to ozone, UV radiation, and severe weather conditions.
