The micro-cellular architecture of our Black Rubber Foam Insulation Sheet Roll features a closed-cell rate exceeding 98%. This high concentration of closed cells prevents water vapor migration, maintaining a stable thermal conductivity coefficient of ≤ 0.034 W/(m·K). This performance level is essential for large surface areas such as commercial HVAC air ducts, building walls, roofs, and cold storage chambers.
By blending PVC with a nitrile rubber matrix (NBR), the material achieves a high level of flexibility and density. When acoustic waves encounter the elastomer, the kinetic energy is dissipated as trace thermal energy within the elastomer matrix. This process significantly reduces reverberation time and improves the Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating of building partition walls.
For pipes, our Black Rubber Foam Insulation Pipe range accommodates outer diameters from 6mm up to 114mm. Applied to process lines in chemical plants or air-conditioning distribution systems, this insulation layer isolates sound while protecting steel work from corrosion under insulation (CUI) and preventing line freeze-ups during Slovakian winters.
