Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What are the primary materials used in these insulation tubes?
The insulation tubes are manufactured primarily using high-quality NBR/PVC elastomer blends, processed through advanced continuous automation equipment to ensure optimal density and thermal properties.
What is the thermal conductivity (K-Value) of the material?
The material features low thermal conductivity: ≤0.030 W/(m.k) at -20°C, ≤0.032 W/(m.k) at 0°C, and ≤0.036 W/(m.k) at 40°C, ensuring excellent thermal efficiency.
How does this insulation perform in case of fire?
The material achieves a Class 0 and Class 1 fire rating according to BS 476 Part 6 & 7 standards. It exhibits high flame resistance, a high oxygen index of ≥36, and a low smoke density.
What is the applicable temperature range for these tubes?
The operating temperature range is wide, spanning from -50°C to 110°C, making it suitable for a variety of hot and cold piping insulation applications.
Does this insulation resist moisture and water vapor?
Yes, it features a highly effective closed-cell structure with a water vapor permeability of ≤0.91×10 ﹣¹³ Kg/(m.s.pa) and a moisture resistance factor (μ) of ≥10000, preventing condensation and moisture penetration.
Is the material resistant to environmental factors like UV and mold?
Absolutely. The material offers good resistance to fungi (ASTM 21), ozone (GB/T 7762-1987), and UV/weathering (ASTM G23), ensuring durability in diverse operating conditions.
